In lieu of meeting at our first class session on Thursday the 23rd, please watch this video. In it, I walk you through the syllabus and course schedule, and then give an introductory lecture on the main themes of the course.
There is no further reading assignment class on Tuesday the 28th. I highly recommend, however, rereading the assignment for Thursday once you've watched the video. Who do you think makes the best point? Which of them say things that resonate with your own experience using the Internet? We'll come back to these four basic themes again and again in the course.
