USPTO Announces The Community Patent Project as part of 5year Strategic Plan

The USPTO has released a draft of its strategic plan over the next five years. As part of the USPTO's Strategy to Improve and enhance examination efficiency and effectivenes to USPTO announced the Patent Application Reer Review Pilot which will develop a peer review mechanism in which public sector volunteer experts review published applications and provide prior art and assist with patentability determinations.

Part-time Position/Internship at Entertainment/Copyright Litigation Firm

Edward C. Greenberg, P.C., a small entertainment and copyright litigation law firm with primarily a photographer clientele, seeks a law student for a part-time position or internship.

The position provides an excellent learning experience for the student as he or she will be involved in all aspects of the litigation and settlement process.  The firm is extremely flexible and will work with the student to balance time between the firm and his or her academic responsibilities

The student must possess excellent verbal and writing skills.  Furthermore, the student must have taken at least an entry level course in copyright law.  Responsibilities include drafting correspondence, motions, and complaints in copyright infringement suits.
